Agave Mug – Driftwood Glaze

Inspired by the sculptural geometry of the agave plant, the Agave Mug combines organic desert textures with everyday function. Each mug is slip cast from fine porcelain in our Arizona family studio, then individually glazed by hand using original Spines n Clay glaze recipes developed through years of testing and refinement.

The Driftwood glaze captures the weathered beauty of the Sonoran Desert. Warm earth tones, soft ivory breaking, and subtle blue-gray highlights settle into every carved ridge, creating the appearance of sun-bleached wood shaped by years of wind and time. Every firing develops its own character, ensuring no two mugs are ever exactly alike.
